New Cosrx Advanced Snail Line
Early this year Cosrx expanded their Advanced snail line with 4 new products. The Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence: a supercharged version of the original snail essence with added Niacinamide for scarring and redness. Secondly, the Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream: a all-in-one brightening, firming, and moisturizing eye cream for tired and puffy eyes. Third, the Advanced Snail Hydrogel Eyepatches: super soothing, calming, and moisturizing eye patches for dry under eyes. And finally, the new Gel Cleanser we are reviewing today!
Cosrx Advanced Snail Mucin Power Gel Cleanser Review by Kelly:
Recently, I had the opportunity to test out the Cosrx Advanced Snail Mucin Power Gel Cleanser. I was very excited to try this product because I know that the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is a well-loved product. Therefore I wanted to see if this cleanser is as good as its essence. The launch of the cleanser was a bit unexpected, Cosrx didn’t make a big spectacle out of the launch, and for many people, it was like what? Did Cosrx launch a new cleanser? Yes, they did!
First impression:
I really love the simple packaging that COSRX uses for its products. Because it is not the most important thing, but the product itself is. The box exists out of white cardboard, with on the right side a black/yellow box that tells you the name of the product and what it is supposed to do. For the tube, they used the same design.

Final thoughts:
According to Cosrx this cleanser claims to:
- Help remove impurities
- Nourish the skin
- Moisturize the skin
If you have used the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence before you already know how the texture of this cleanser is going to be. This cleanser is a gooey/bouncy gel-type cleanser that barely foams up once it comes in contact with water.
To conclude I, really enjoy using this cleanser. Recently I discovered that gel-type cleansers work better for my skin than any other type of cleanser. I already loved the Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, so it was no surprise that I was going to like the formula/texture of this cleanser too. You don’t need a big amount of this cleanser to give my skin a good cleanse. Afterward, my skin felt fresh and moisturized. My skin did not felt tight or dry afterward, so I think this cleanser is good for people with a combination or oily skin type. It does remove some of the impurities, like getting rid of oils and dead skin cells.
Verdict: Light Gel Cleanser that properly cleanses the skin
I really enjoy using this cleanser. I recently discovered that gel-type cleansers work better for my skin than any other type of cleanser. I already loved the Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, so it was no surprise that I was going to like the formula/texture of this cleanser too
Thanks for the in-depth review! I’ve always been a bit scared of anything with snail mucin in, something about it put me off. But you’ve reassured me, and I’m going to give it a go 🙂
Amazing review, for real. COSRX products from all Korean brands are some of my favorite. Whether I use AHA/BHA toners, sheet masks or pimple patches, the effects on my troubled skin are simply astonishing.
This is everywhere at the moment! Thanks for the info, I’ve seen the hype but great to get an understanding of what it’s actually all about 🙂
