5 Cheap Korean Beauty Products Which Will Last a Year

Korean Beauty products are not known for breaking the bank. But since a lot of you are always asking me for tips to stay on budget I’m going to share my 5 favorite Korean Beauty products which are definitely worth investing in. We specifically selected these products based on a couple requirements: do they live up to the product description? Are they worth the price? And, last but not least: will they last a decent amount of time. Most of the products in this list are actually my personal favorites, and I assure you after trying they will become your favorites as well! Lip sleeping packs And I’m specifically talking about the Laneige Lip Sleeping Pack. This beauty is one of my personal favorites as well. It’s creamy consistency and it’s pleasant smell make this a total winner. Even though it’s marketed as a sleeping pack for the lips I love taking the mini version with me and use it as a lip balm during the day. Since you only need a little at the time and the tub is so big, even after 4 months my tub looks almost unused. Afbeeldingsresultaat voor holika holika aloe soothing gel Aloe soothing gel Known for it’s skin healing and anti-inflammatory properties, aloe is and will be a crowd favorite forever. It’s loved by all different skin types including sensitive and acne-prone skin. The big advantage of a soothing gel is that it comes in huge tubs for a great price and will last you ages. Our favorite is the Holika Holika Aloe 99% Soothing Gel which comes in a cute aloe leaf shaped packaging of 250 ml. If you want to enjoy an additional anti-aging effect try the Snail Aloe Soothing Gel. Both of these products are only €9,99 and will last you a whole year. Essences Essences are that kind of k-beauty product which people ask me loads of questions about. When to use it? When do we not use it? Should I include an essence in my routine? To keep things simple, I always explain an essence as a watered down serum. It’s thicker than your toner, but thinner than your serum so most people apply it in between these two steps. However, you don’t need to follow these rules. Essences for me are loads of fun to play with and I apply it in different ways every time. Essences are the perfect product to invest in when you want to up your skincare game since they are so versatile. Don’t like thick moisturizers? Search for a hydrating essence and apply in your morning or nighttime routine after toner. Skip your moisturizer instead. You can layer your essence if you feel like you need a little more moisture. Already have a blemish care serum but want to incorporate something for anti-aging? How about a snail essence or something with fermented yeast? Our bestselling moisturizing essences are the Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence by Cosrx and the Moistfull Collagen Essence by Etude House. Looking for something more anti-aging? The number one essence in Korea which slays in all skincare departments is the Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence. On a tight budget? Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence is packed with powerful anti-aging ingredients such as 80% snail slime filtrate and bee venom. Gerelateerde afbeelding Protect & prevent Do I talk about sunscreen in every post? Hmm, I try not to but it just happens every time since my love for sunscreen is never ending (lol). Because I informed you about the importance of sunscreen already in our Korean Sunscreen Guide for Beginners. And mentioned it as well in our latest post: 5 New Year’s Resolutions For Better Skin. I will keep it short and sweet this time. Investing in a good sunscreen and applying it daily will save you big bucks in the future. You won’t have to start as early with all the anti-aging skincare products which tend to have more expensive ingredients and therefore will be a bit pricier. Sunscreen is the best anti-aging product you can purchase before any damage even occurs. Gerelateerde afbeelding Eye Cream In general, Korean eye creams come in a tub or a tube which are only a little smaller than your average moisturizer jar.  Most eye creams are designed to do two things: moisturize and prevent fine lines. These properties make it a great multi-use product since you can apply it to other parts of the face that often show early signs of aging like around the mouth, forehead and neck area. Even if it’s not an eye cream you’re raving about, this way you can finish that tub without spending money on another product. Our favorite? The Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream. Guaranteed this big tub will last you the whole year!   We hope these tips will help you stay on budget every year. Saving money should not have any effects on your skin, neither should K-Beauty be the thing that breaks your bank. Looking for tips to create your own Korean skincare routine on a budget?
